6th Annual Biopreparedness Symposia Series -
Kearney NE
This year's Symposia Series includes three
pre-conference sessions: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Training for Mental Health Professionals, 1-2-7 Go! NIMS for
Hospitals, and Core Disaster Life Support®
. Symposia sessions include a wide range of topics addressing
public health preparedness, medical preparedness, responder
preparedness and business/industry preparedness. For example:
shelter/mass care for developmentally disabled adults, avian
influenza from an agriculture perspective, behavioral health and
disaster response, chemicals being transported across Nebraska,
HR policy issues in a pandemic, working with the media, and
response and recovery from the Central Nebraska ice storms.

Negative Pressure Training
- Grand Island NE
This free 1 1/2 hour course provides an overview of negative air
and airborne isolation, using the RxAirtm
air purification system, and an overview of the
psychological aspects of isolation from patient and caregiver
perspectives. Advance registration is required. Training will be
held at St. Francis Hospital - Memorial Health Center Building
in Grand Island. This training will also be available via Telehealth.
